Power & Electrical Requirements
Power requirement: 208-230V 1-phase 60Hz (standard US residential 240V service). Minimum circuit ampacity is 9A with a maximum overcurrent protection of 15A. Wire the outdoor unit with 14 AWG copper on a dedicated 15A double-pole breaker (or single-pole at 120V), with a disconnect within sight of the condenser per NEC 440.14.
Install Difficulty — Professional Install
This is a professionally-installed condenser that requires a licensed HVAC technician with EPA 608 certification. The tech will pull a vacuum on the line set to 500 microns, pressure-test with nitrogen, release the factory charge, and commission per MrCool's startup procedure. Budget 1 full day for install on a single-zone system. The system supports line set lengths up to 213.25ft; longer runs are available as accessory kits. Plan the shortest practical route — every 10ft of line set adds roughly 2% capacity loss. Ships with R-410A refrigerant. R-410A is a mature, widely-serviced refrigerant; service technicians and parts are available at any HVAC supply house.

Constructed with painted galvanized steel, this sturdy unit features a side-discharge layout, slide-out blower, self-diagnostics panel, and removable filters for easy upkeep. Effortless installation is possible for an HVAC technician, as the unit is designed to work with the optional MRCOOL® No-Vac® Quick Connect® Line Set. Pre-charged with eco-friendly R410-A refrigerant, this line set does away with the need for vacuuming or flare welding, is kink-resistant, and allows for various installation configurations. The handler also includes a wired thermostat and wireless remote, with an additional heat kit available for purchase if needed. In the rare occurrence of operational issues, the air handler is supported by a reassuring 10-year warranty for parts and labor, providing peace of mind. Moreover, there is no need for registration to access the included labor warranty.
