MRCOOL Signature TruInverter 24K BTU Air Handler — Model Details

What this specific model is sized for, how it installs, how it performs, and what it costs to run.

Room & Space Coverage — 24,000 BTU

The MRCOOL Signature TruInverter 24K BTU Air Handler delivers 24,000 BTU of cooling and heating capacity, sized for spaces up to 1,200 sq ft in standard 8-ft ceiling rooms with average insulation. At this capacity the unit handles medium primary rooms, master suites with attached bath, converted garages, and workshops. If your space includes a sunny west-facing wall or a finished bonus room above it, lean toward the upper end of the coverage range.

Install Difficulty — Professional Install

This is a professionally-installed condenser that requires a licensed HVAC technician with EPA 608 certification. The tech will pull a vacuum on the line set to 500 microns, pressure-test with nitrogen, release the factory charge, and commission per MrCool's startup procedure. Budget 1 full day for install on a single-zone system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about this product

What size room will the MRCOOL Signature TruInverter 24K BTU Air Handler cool?

At 24,000 BTU this unit is sized for rooms up to 1,200 sq ft under standard 8-ft ceilings with average insulation. Add 10–20% for sun-exposed rooms, poorly insulated spaces, or ceilings above 9 ft.

Do I need a licensed HVAC installer?

Yes — this unit is professionally-installed. The installer needs EPA 608 certification to handle the refrigerant, plus standard HVAC tools (vacuum pump, manifold gauges, nitrogen kit). Expect a one-day install on a single-zone system, more on multi-zone.

How fast does HVACZAR ship this unit?

Shipping is calculated at checkout from the order weight, and you see the exact charge before paying. In-stock SKUs leave the warehouse within 1–3 business days. Transit time is 3–7 business days via truck freight (with liftgate delivery) for outdoor units and UPS Ground for accessories. Tracking is emailed at pickup.

What if it arrives damaged or I change my mind?

Inspect the unit before signing for freight delivery. If there is visible damage, note it on the delivery receipt and refuse the shipment — we ship a replacement at no cost. Unopened and unused units can be returned within 30 days for a refund less outbound shipping.

What is the warranty on the MRCOOL Signature TruInverter 24K BTU Air Handler?

The MRCOOL Signature TruInverter 24K BTU Air Handler comes with a 7-year manufacturer warranty when purchased from HVACZAR, an authorized MrCool dealer. Register your unit after purchase to activate full warranty coverage.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping is calculated at checkout from the order weight. Most MrCool systems ship within 1-3 business days and arrive in 3-7 business days via FedEx, UPS, or truck freight with liftgate delivery.

What size room does 24,000 BTU cover?

A 24,000 BTU unit is sized for rooms up to 1,200 sq ft. Proper sizing depends on ceiling height, insulation, climate zone, and window exposure. Use our system finder for a precise recommendation.

Do you offer returns?

Yes. HVACZAR offers a 30-day return policy on unopened, unused products in original packaging. Contact us to initiate a return and receive a return authorization number.

How can I pay?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) via Stripe secure checkout. All transactions are encrypted and protected.
