Power requirement: 208/230V 1-phase 60Hz (standard US residential 240V service). Minimum circuit ampacity is 3.3A with a maximum overcurrent protection of 15A. Wire the outdoor unit with 14 AWG copper on a dedicated 15A double-pole breaker (or single-pole at 120V), with a disconnect within sight of the condenser per NEC 440.14.

Install Difficulty — Professional Install

This is a professionally-installed condenser that requires a licensed HVAC technician with EPA 608 certification. The tech will pull a vacuum on the line set to 500 microns, pressure-test with nitrogen, release the factory charge, and commission per MrCool's startup procedure. Budget 1 full day for install on a single-zone system. Ships with R410a refrigerant. R-410A is a mature, widely-serviced refrigerant; service technicians and parts are available at any HVAC supply house.

Its versatile design allows multi-position installation, with easily accessible horizontal and vertical condensate drain pans. Maintenance is also simplified with slide-out blower and coil components. Additionally, optional field-installed heat kits are available in 5, 7.5, 10, 15, and 20 kW options to customize your heating capacity. With AHRI and ETL certifications, the 2 Ton PRODIRECT™ Series ECM Air Handler meets the highest industry standards for quality and performance. It comes with a standard 5-year warranty plus an additional 5-year extended parts and compressor warranty upon registration.
